Quilt with Judy
Retreats
Sievers School of Fiber Arts
Sievers Fiber
Arts School is located on Washington
Island, just off the tip of Door County. A car ferry brings you to
this charming, picturesque island. You will stay in either the school's
dorm or one of the island's motels, rentals or B&B's. Enjoy quilting
in the studio, equipped with tables, irons and ironing boards, design
walls and great lighting. Students typically work on the featured project
that Judy offers, but again ...you are welcome to work on your own
desired project. Being with other quilters and spending time on the
island is purely magic!

Date to be determined and will be available in the next few months.
2009 class will be...
SCRAP QUILTS--Re-living the Past.
Quilters can go "green" in this year's class. Raid your stash and come to Sievers, where Judy will present six original designs, all inspired by quilts from "days gone by". These quilts lend themselves to using multiple fabrics. Students will choose the pattern that suits their taste and create either an antique reproduction or give the quilt a more contemporary look with the choice of their fabrics. Any quilter is welcome to join in the class, even if you prefer to work on your own independent project and just want to enjoy the atmosphere of the island and the time with those who love to do the same thing you do! Recommended for advanced beginners to intermediate quilters.
Each student will receive one pattern of their choice for class and others will be available for purchase. To view designs offered, check this website after Feb 1st.
